Orgean Freeman (Aegean) is a Visual Artist located in Park Forest, IL. Orgean employs oils and acrylics on canvas, watercolor on paper, and mixed media to capture portraits, landscapes and still life works. She uses vivid and muted colors in realistic, surrealistic and expressive approaches. Her work encourages a fresh, spontaneous, fluid and creative experience.

I am a self-taught artist and retired art teacher. I have audited courses at Governors State University (University Park, IL) and Daley College (Chicago). My work has been exhibited in various Chicago-land venues, including the South Side Community Art Center; the Trinity Church Art Fair; the Tall Grass Arts Association Gallery; the University of Illinois at Chicago African-American Cultural Center; the Beverly Art Center; the Crete Women's Club Garden Bazaar; and the Annual Park Forest Art Fair.
